• Password - Stored securely using industry-standard encryption

Child Information

• Child's name - To personalize the timeline experience
• Child's birth date - To calculate age milestones (0-18 years)
• Photos - Images you choose to add for each year milestone

Technical Information

• Device type and operating system version
• App version
• Crash logs (anonymized) to improve app stability

2. How We Store Your Data

Local + Cloud Storage (Automatic)

• All photos are stored locally on your device for fast access
• Photos are automatically backed up to secure cloud storage (Supabase) to protect your memories
• This ensures your photos are safe even if you lose your device

Data Protection:

• End-to-end encryption in transit (TLS 1.3)
• Encryption at rest (AES-256)
• Data stored in secure, SOC 2 compliant data centers (US East region)
• Only you can access your photos

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Provide the SeeMeGrow app functionality
• Display your child's growth timeline
• Authenticate your account
• Backup your photos to the cloud
• Send important account notifications
• Improve app performance and fix bugs

4. What We Do NOT Do

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

SeeMeGrow is designed for parents and guardians to document their children's growth. We are committed to protecting children's privacy:

• The app is intended for use by adults (parents/guardians) only
• We do not knowingly collect information directly from children under 13
• All child information is provided and controlled by the parent/guardian
• Parents have full control to view, edit, or delete any child's data at any time
• We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

6. Data Retention

• Local data: Remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app
• Cloud data: Retained until you delete it or close your account
• Account deletion: All associated data is permanently deleted within 30 days

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access - View all data we have about you
• Correct - Update or fix any incorrect information
• Delete - Remove all your data permanently
• Export - Download your photos and data

To exercise these rights, use the Settings menu in the app or contact us directly.

8. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

• Secure authentication via Supabase Auth
• HTTPS encryption for all network communications
• Regular security audits and updates
• Minimal data collection principle

9. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase - Authentication and cloud storage
  • Data location: US East

• Apple/Google - App distribution and crash reporting

These services have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to review them.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by:

• Posting the new policy in the app
• Sending an email notification (if applicable)
• Updating the "Effective Date" at the top
